For more than a decade, Danny has pushed himself in stretching his imagination and musical boundaries working with an extensive range of artists, based in Montreal. He is crossing oceans and continents as the musical director and bassist for JUNO award winner Dominique Fils-Aimé. With great enthusiasm, he got to perform on some of the great tv-shows such as Tout le Monde en Parle, Bonsoir Bonsoir, La Semaine des 4 Julies, Belle et Bum, and the Polaris music prize on CBC.

More recently, he spent quite some time in studio with singer-songwriter Abigail Galwey and record producer Joe Grass (Lhasa de Sela, Patrick Watson, Elisapie) crafting their new project called EDDY to delve into a soulful 90’s trip-hop & psychedelic sonic environment.

These past few years, he has been stepping out of his own as a composer and producer behind Soul Secret Agency collective in collaboration with prolific Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire/Leonard Cohen). The sound is influenced by musical genres of R&B (reminiscing Motown era) promoting a Canadian inheritance of segregationist musicians, mixing with poetry in a socially-conscious tone.

 

In addition, he composed, arranged produced and worked on the post-production for two emerging artists. He is also part of the music producers' team at the innovative Airfix music Royalty-free music platform for audiovisual projects.

Danny started playing Bass at the age of 13. He attended Saint-Laurent College’s Jazz studies programs in Performance and another year in Composition & Arrangements. Danny counts Adam Blackstone, James Jameson and Marcus Miller among his foundational favorite bass players that have now shaped his tone and groove along with Mark Ronson and Danger Mouse as his all-time favourite producers.

Danny is a passionately committed musician that has grown up amongst the most vibrant and diverse music scene of Quebec. An environment full of inspiration and stimulation for him to feed off.
