Danny Trudeau, a musical director; bassist and composer whose work bridges the worlds of live performance and cinematic storytelling. Performing alongside acclaimed artists like JUNO Award-winner Dominique Fils-Aimé, Jordanian virtuoso Farah Siraj, and Thai-born artist Salin, bringing his deep musical sensibility and creative energy to every stage.

 

As a composer, Danny contributed additional music to the CBC documentary Afro Canada and landed a sync placement on the TV series Murder in a small town. An active collaborator in Montreal’s vibrant film scene, he continues to compose and produce for screen projects that range from independent films to documentaries. His string arrangements have supported celebrated Canadian artists including Patrick Lehman, Soul Secret Agency, ESCA and Ginette Reno. Danny’s signature sound fuses brooding orchestration wth atmospheric trip-hop textures, reflecting his wide-ranging background as a record producer, touring musician and bandleader. 

 

Rooted in Montreal’s diverse creative landscape, Danny studied Performance and Jazz Composition at St. Laurent College, before emerging as an in-demand session player and producer. His artistry has earned three ADISQ nominations for Best Show of the Year and taken him to thousands of stages worldwide, from intimate clubs to international festivals. 

 

Today, Danny leads his electronic/soul project The Sound of Eddy, signed to Ensoul records. With new music set to releases in 2026, he continues to redefine genre boundaries; bridging groove, texture and cinematic storytelling into a sound that feels both timeless and forward-thinking.
